Antiaging Nutrients In Our Daily Food Intake By
Aging is a normal process that everyone goes through year by year. As time
passes, wrinkles form, complexion shades, strength weakens and all sorts of
diseases would kick in. Fortunately for many people this is not the case. Some
even live up to 110 years old without having a single problem. How does this
happen anyway? Many times we would have thought of this, but rarely did we put
effort in finding out the answer.
The answer is very simple, in fact; it lies in the food they take. Food here
does not refer to all sorts of food, but the ones high in nutrients, especially
antiaging nutrients when it comes to aging. These nutrients are there
to help to slow down their aging process. In short, these nutrients contain one
simple thing which does this job, and it’s called antioxidants.
How They Work
Antioxidant is a type of chemical which neutralizes the free radicals in our
body into harmless elements, so that those radicals do not destroy the body
cells and contribute to aging. These harmful radicals are produced during the
oxidizing process. This is a process of the body in which our body cells oxidize
and produce energy called metabolism during their normal functioning, and this
energy produced is the one we use to move about, to talk, and to even sit down
and eat.
Common Food High In Nutrients
Basically, these antioxidants can be found in many types of natural sources of
food. In our daily food intake, at least half of them contain this agent. To
round up, every food that contains nutrients like Vitamin A, Vitamin B-6,
Vitamin B-12, Vitamin C, Vitamin E, Carotene, Folic acid, or Selenium would
contain antioxidants. And as we can see, these nutrients are not
something that we hardly see; they are in fact in all sorts of food that we eat.
They are called nutrients simply because of their high content of this
antiaging agent. Besides the natural resource of nutrients, there are also many
other nutritional supplements that contain these nutrients, and we basically
take them as our sources of medicine supplements daily. Some of them are Alpha
Lipoic acid, Alpha-Tocopherol, Beta-Carotene, Beta 1, 3-D Glucan, Lutein,
Lycopene, Indole Carbinol 3, NAC (n- Acetyl Cysteine), SOD (Superoxide
Dismutase).
Some of the foods that we can find all these nutrients are fruits like
apple, blueberries, cranberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries,
bananas, and papayas, and vegetables such as carrots, broccoli, tomatoes,
cabbage, lettuce, asparagus, beets, spinach and many more.
